FAQ
FAQ
1. Can I directly replace my lead-acid battery with a lithium battery?
Yes. Our 12.8V LiFePO₄ batteries are designed to be drop-in replacements for most lead-acid batteries, including AGM and gel types. Please verify compatibility in terms of dimensions, voltage, and charging system before installation.
2. Do I need a special charger for lithium batteries?
It is highly recommended to use a lithium-compatible charger (with a LiFePO₄ charging profile). While some AGM chargers may work, using a dedicated lithium charger ensures optimal performance, faster charging, and longer battery life.
3. What is the lifespan of a lithium battery?
Our LiFePO₄ batteries offer 6,000 cycles at 80% depth of discharge (DOD), translating to a lifespan of 10 years or more under normal usage. This is significantly longer than traditional lead-acid batteries.
4. Can lithium batteries be used in solar systems?
Absolutely. Our lithium batteries are ideal for solar energy storage systems thanks to their high charge efficiency, long cycle life, and low self-discharge rate. They’re suitable for off-grid set-ups, caravan solar setups, and home solar installations.
5. Do the batteries have an internal BMS?
Yes. Every battery is equipped with a built-in Battery Management System (BMS) that provides protection against overcharge, over-discharge, overcurrent, short circuits, and high/low temperatures, ensuring safe and stable operation.
6. How should I connect multiple lithium batteries?
When connecting in parallel, ensure all batteries are of the same model, capacity, and voltage. Fully charge each battery before connecting, and use appropriately rated cables and fuses. If series connection is needed, please confirm the model supports it or contact our technical team for guidance.
7. Are there any installation guidelines I should follow?
Yes. Lithium batteries can be installed in any orientation—upright, lying flat, or on their side—thanks to their sealed design. Avoid high-heat, moisture, and vibration-prone environments. For mobile applications like caravans or boats, use secure mounting to prevent movement.
8. Can lithium batteries be used as starter batteries?
No. Our deep cycle lithium batteries are not designed for engine cranking.
9. Do any models support Bluetooth monitoring?
Yes. Selected models come with integrated Bluetooth modules, allowing real-time monitoring of voltage, current, temperature, and state of charge (SOC) via a mobile app.
10. Are lithium batteries safe to transport?
Yes. All our lithium batteries comply with international safety and transport standards, including IEC 62619, UN38.3, MSDS and CE. They are packaged with fireproof, shock-resistant materials and are safe for land, sea, and air transport.
11. What kind of warranty and after-sales support do you offer?
Our lithium batteries come with a 5-year limited warranty, covering manufacturing defects and performance issues under normal usage. We provide local technical support through our Brisbane service centers and offer fast replacements or returns when necessary. For assistance, please contact our customer service team.
12. Are your lithium batteries waterproof or dustproof?
Yes. Most of our batteries feature IP67-rated enclosures, meaning they are fully protected against dust ingress and can withstand temporary immersion in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. This makes them suitable for marine, off-road, and outdoor applications.
